We’ve talked before about the benefits of having a “grocery store day”. There’s another “day” that’s beneficial and that’s a “gas station day” (assuming you don’t need to fill up more than once a week). There are several good reasons to do this:
-
You never know when you’re going to need a full gas tank. If you get one of those calls that require you to get somewhere fast, you don’t want to have to take the time to stop and fill up your tank.
-
You most likely won’t ever run out of gas.
-
You also most likely won’t be late getting somewhere because you have to stop and get gas first.
-
You don’t have to worry about figuring out when to get gas because you get it at the same time every week.
My dad always told me that “it runs just as good off the top half as the bottom half” so I get gasoline once a week, on my way to the grocery store, whether I need it or not. As a result, I rarely ever have to make an emergency run to the gas station before I can do what I need to do. So if you don’t have a “gas station day”, give some thought to adding it to your weekly routine.
