Aluminum Foil Frustration No More!

Would you ever imagine that an innocent box of aluminum foil or plastic wrap could cause a person to nearly lose their mind?!  Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve battled with the aluminum foil box more times than I can count and I always come up the loser!  You know what I’m talking about.  You’re trying to unroll the right sized piece but then the roller pops out, drops onto the floor and unrolls across the kitchen floor!  And aluminum foil doesn’t roll back up very well!  Fortunately I’ve had fewer problems with plastic wrap but I’ve done battle with it plenty of times, too!

Fortunately a few years ago I found out all you have to do to solve this problem is punch in the little tab on the ends of the boxes and the rollers stay put.   Wow!  I can’t believe I used aluminum foil and plastic wrap all those years and didn’t know that.

So if you didn’t know, go punch in the tabs on your boxes and enjoy hassle free aluminum foil and plastic wrap use from now on!

  1. Patty, I have to say I seriously did not know that either! Although, for the past few years we have been (and some years to come we will continue to be) using the huge economy rolls, since my hubby got a really good deal on them, in the future at some point I will go back to the little rolls and will pass this information along as well!

  2. My problem is that I cannot open a box of the stuff without destroying it. The little push thingies are no use when 2 of the glue seams are ripped open! Ugh.. I hate the plastic wrap. I used to be able to buy reynolds brand that has a slide cutter in it, but I cannot find it anywhere anymore!!
