Today you’re getting two for the price of one. The two cakes are similar as far as the ingredients and how you make them but they are worlds apart in taste. Both are big winners in the “wow” department, and as an added bonus, both are easy. It just doesn’t get much better than this!
Chocolate Crunch Cake
Make a chocolate cake. Poke holes in the cake while it’s warm. You can use wooden skewers or a toothpick. I use my big metal fork. But it really doesn’t matter. Just poke holes all over the cake.

Mix 1 jar caramel ice cream topping and 1 can sweetened condensed milk. Pour over warm cake (I’ve done it cold before and it works but it’s not quite as good). Chill.

Before serving, top with cool whip and 2 or 3 crushed Heath bars (I use milk chocolate Heath bits). Enjoy!

Heath Cake
- White cake mix
- Can Hershey’s chocolate syrup
- Cool whip
- Heath bits
Make cake as directed on package. While warm, poke holes all over cake and then pour Hershey’s syrup over top of cake. Before serving, frost with cool whip and sprinkle with heath bits.

See. Similar but different. The Heath Cake is a bit lighter. The Chocolate Crunch Cake is heavier and richer and gooier. Can you tell which is my favorite? I obviously like the chocolate cake but my husband likes the white cake better. Our family is divided over which is the best. So you’ll just have to try them both and see what you think. Let me know.

Amazing cake!! I made the Chocolate Crunch cake for Fathers Day. Wow! I will definitely be making this one again. Thanks.
Glad you liked it. It’s one of our favorites, too. My mom always requests it at Thanksgiving or Christmas. It’s so gooey and delicious!
