We know we all need to eat more vegetables, and an easy way to cook them, whether fresh or frozen, is in a steamer pan.
My first steamer pan came as part of a pan set. The steamer basket sits inside the dutch
oven. I used to have a nice glass lid for it but I broke it (our family has problems with glass!). I discovered that Wal-mart sells metal replacement lids that work well.
But while my first steamer pan was out of commission, I tried the little basket that sits in a saucepan but it wasn’t large enough to cook a bag of frozen vegetables.
So I stumbled upon a fairly nice pan at a discount store that was only $5. It’s smaller than my dutch oven but bigger than a saucepan. I like the bigger pan better but this one works well, too.
I use my steamer pans for frozen vegetables and fresh vegetables. They do a great job and the vegetables taste good and are good for you!
