For a while it seemed like the power in our house went off all the time – and usually in the evening when it was dark! And, of course, during those times I could never find a flashlight with good batteries. I had plenty of flashlights but the batteries were all dead from lack of use.
I finally got sick of all those dead batteries and all that wasted money so I came up with a solution. Here’s what I use instead:
A rechargeable flashlight. You can see that ours has been well used! We keep it plugged in in the garage and it’s always ready to go.
A small flashlight that uses AA batteries. I always have AA batteries on hand and they’re cheaper than the D’s. The little flashlights fit in the drawer with my tool kit and they provide just as much light as the big flashlights. Plus those AA batteries last longer even when they’re sitting idle in the flashlight.
So if you’ve ever been in the dark and couldn’t find the light, put an end to that nonsense and stop by Wal-mart or Home Depot and pick up a rechargeable flashlight and a package of the flashlights that use AA’s. Next time the power goes out, you won’t be in the dark!
