Frozen Mocha Torte

My daughter-in-law says that of all the desserts I make, this is her favorite.  It’s pretty easy to make and it looks impressive.

Preparation:
Thaw 8 oz. cool whip
Soften 8 oz. package of cream cheese
Dissolve 2 tbsp. instant coffee granules in 1 tbsp. hot water

Instructions:
Combine and press into a spring form pan (you can either press crumbs up the sides or just on the bottom – it’s good either way although it looks prettier if they’re up the side a
little bit):

  • 1-1/4 cups chocolate wafer crumbs (I use
    chocolate graham crackers)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup butter

Beat until smooth:

  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2/3 cup chocolate syrup

Dissolve 2 tbsp. instant coffee granules in 1 tbsp. hot water and add to creamed mixture.  Fold in 8 oz. cool whip and pour into crust.  Cover and freeze 8 hours or overnight.

Sounds so yummy. Can I suggest you to post a pictureof this too?

I am not a coffee fan, and neither is my family. Can this be made leaving out the coffee and still turn out YUMMY? Thanks!

    • I’m not a big coffee fan either but the coffee in this is very subtle. But if you don’t like coffee, you can easily leave it out and it’s still delicious. I know this because I left it out once accidentally. :)
