I hate shredding chicken! If you’ve read this blog for very long, you know I recently discovered I could shred chicken in my Kitchen-Aid stand-up mixer. That was a life-changing discovery for me and I’ve shouted it from the housetops.
However, some of you don’t have stand-up mixers so you’ve been left shredding your chicken the old-fashioned way – with two forks. That is, until now.
I heard a rumor that a hand held mixer would work, too. I didn’t believe it. But today I needed to shred some chicken and my Kitchen-Aid bowl, paddle and dough hook were all dirty. I didn’t feel like cleaning them so I decided it was time to test out the wild rumor about the hand held mixer shredding chicken.
IT’S TRUE!!!
Here’s the proof:

There are three chicken breasts in the bowl. I cut each of them into a couple of pieces, just to make it easier.

So if you missed out on the “shred chicken in your Kitchen-Aid mixer club”, there’s a new club for you. In fact, I imagine that for my future chicken shredding needs, I’ll probably use which ever tool is handy because they both work great! Who would have thought!!!!!

I LOVE this idea. It looks perfectly shredded and tasty.
It works great and is so much easier than shredding with two forks.
