How to Freeze Chopped Peppers

Red, green and yellow peppers can easily be frozen for future use.  But don’t make the mistake of chopping them and then immediately placing them in a freezer bag – the
pieces will stick together.  Here’s a better way to freeze chopped peppers.

First wash the peppers and then chop them in small pieces.

Place them in a single layer on a cookie sheet.

Place the cookie sheets in the freezer for a couple of hours (no need to cover them).  In a few hours, pull out the cookie sheets and place the chopped peppers in a zip lock freezer bag labeled with the contents and date.

Put the bags in the freezer, and when you want to use them, you can pull out the whole batch or just a handful.
