Having a small business isn’t easy. Let’s just be real blogging and running a website is hard. It feels like as soon as you get one thing down another pops up.

Maybe this will make your life a little bit easier.

Here is a step by step guide to how to add clickable images to your website sidebar. In six simple steps you can link your affiliates, or your own products on the sidebar of your home page.

Step 1

Find the image you wish to use in the sidebar. Right click the image and save it to your computer in a location that you can find easily. I usually save to my desktop until I have completed this process then put it in the appropriate folder.1

Step 2

Find the image you saved. Go to your media folder and click add new. Select Files and upload the image. Most sidebars are standard at 300 pixels wide.

Step 3

Once your image is uploaded open it and copy the URL for the image.

Step 4

Go to your appearance tab. Click on Widgets.

Step 5

If you have Jetpack installed go to Image. If not I highly recommend getting it.

Select the sidebar you want to place the image on.5

Step 6

In the image URL section paste the code for the image. In the link URL paste your affiliate URL or the URL you want to go to from the image. If you want it centered on the sidebar chose that in the image alignment drop down. Leave the width and height empty if you want WordPress to chose the best sizing for your image.

Click save and the image will be live on your site. 6

So there you go. The easiest way to add an image to your website sidebar. Does this help you? Do you have an easier way?
