I know, I know – grilling season is almost over – unless you’re year-round grillers like we are, that is. Our motto is, “What’s a little cold or snow?! “ And if you happen to make your burgers inside – in the skillet, oven or George Foreman, this method will work for you, too.
So here’s what you do. Open up your package of ground beef (or turkey, whatever your preference). While it’s in the package, decide how many patties you want to make and then cut it into that number of sections. Scoop out one section at a time, roll into a ball, and then flatten gently. Don’t forget to make your patties a bit bigger than the buns you’re using (to avoid for shrinkage of the meat).
Season the patties, make a thumb print in the middle (read about why here), and cook.
