Here’s another dessert recipe that doesn’t have to be baked and is SO delicious! This is probably one of my favorites – partly because it’s so good and partly because it’s so easy. You can whip it up in just a few minutes without heating up the kitchen.
- 8 cups Golden Grahams cereal (one 13-oz. box)
- 12 oz. milk chocolate chips
- 16 oz. bag miniature marshmallows
- 5 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Melt 5 cups marshmallows (save 1 cup marshmallows for later), chocolate chips and butter in three quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Butter rectangular 13x9x2 pan. Pour golden grahams cereal into large bowl. Pour marshmallow mixture over cereal; stir until evenly coated. Stir in remaining marshmallows. Press mixture into pan with buttered back of spoon. Cool until as firm as desired. Cut into 24 bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

Do you add the chocolate to the marshmallow mixture?
Yes. I fixed the recipe. Sorry about that. It was wrong in my data base but right on my recipe card. And now it’s right on the blog.
This recipe sounds delicious; however, I’ve not attempted to make it because they won’t fit in the ‘cookie jar’.
Sounds like you need a bigger cookie jar!
