My friend, Laylee, brought this dessert to a Bible study potluck recently and everybody asked for the recipe. I would have shared it with you sooner but I had to make it first so I could get a picture. So here you go. I think you’ll be pleased.
1st Layer (crust):
- 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 1-1/2 sleeves of crackers)
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1/3 cup melted margarine
Combine. Press firmly into bottom of greased 9×13 pan.
2nd Layer:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ (8 oz.) container cool whip, thawed
Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Fold in cool whip. Spread over crust.
3rd Layer:
- 1 package (4 oz.) instant chocolate pudding
- 1-3/4 cups cold milk
Prepare chocolate pudding with milk. Let set a minute or two until thickened. Gently spread over cream cheese layer.
4th Layer:
- 1 package (4 oz.) instant butterscotch pudding
- 1-3/4 cups cold milk
Prepare butterscotch pudding with milk. Let set a minute or two until thickened. Spread over chocolate pudding layer. Chill an hour or so.
5th Layer:
- ½ (8 oz.) container cool whip, thawed
Spread remaining cool whip over pudding. Garnish with grated chocolate or chopped nuts, if desired.
