When you were a kid, did your mom ever make Pigs-in-a-Blanket for you?  Have you made them for your kids or yourself lately?  I bet you’re really craving some about now, right?

Well, grab some canned biscuits, hot dogs and cheese slices and gather the kids and make some Pigs-in-a-Blanket.  They make a tasty lunch or a great snack.  And in case you forgot how to make them, here’s how we do it at my house.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can biscuits
  • 4-1/2 cheese slices
  • 5 hot dogs

Directions:

Open the can of biscuits.  Working with one biscuit at a time, gently spread the biscuit into a circle big enough for half a hot dog with a little extra for wrapping.

Cut a cheese slices in quarters and place one of the pieces on the center of the flattened biscuit.  Cut hot dogs in half and place a hot dog half on top of the cheese.

Roll the biscuit around the hot dog and cheese and pinch the seams shut so you can’t see any of the filling.

Place seam side down on a greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 375 for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until very light brown.  Makes 10.  Enjoy!
