I’m so excited to share this recipe with you. It’s a great one to make ahead and have in the freezer. Then sometime when you’re craving something sweet, instead of reaching for a candy bar, you can grab a puddingwich out of the freezer. Or on a hot day, you can offer them to the kids (and yourself!) as a refreshing snack. Or serve them for dessert after dinner. They are easy to make and SO delicious!
Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups cold milk
- 1 package (3.9 oz.) instant chocolate pudding mix
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 15 whole graham crackers (a little over 2 sleeves from the box)
- *Be sure you have plastic wrap
Directions:
Combine milk, pudding and peanut butter with a whisk. Let stand 5 minutes.

Break graham crackers in half. Spread pudding mixture over half of the crackers (about a heaping teaspoon on each half). Top with remaining crackers and gently press down a little. You can leave the little bit that squirts out on each side or you can scrape it off.

Wrap each puddingwich in plastic wrap and freeze until firm. I usually put them all in a gallon zip lock and put it in the freezer. But don’t put them where they’re too visible or the next time you go to get one, they’ll be gone!

Can be frozen up to 1 month (but they won’t last that long!).

I figured with regular graham crackers and sugar free pudding these are 176 calories….fyi. I’m going to make some with Nutella!
Let me know how they turn out!
I got more than 15 sandwiches out of mine so mine were about 150 calories each. I was pretty excited about that – a nice treat for only 150!
Oh you did? I hope I have enough graham crackers then…we broke into them yesterday since I didn’t think I needed all of them.
I ended up buying regular pudding and almond milk…trying to incorporate that more into our diets as dairy is not friendly to my son or me, and almonds are good for you, but my husband is the only one who likes the taste. So I’m saving calories on the milk, and adding them back into the pudding.
I think I’m going to try and have the kids “make” these this afternoon. I’ll let you know how they turn out!
How many you get depends on how much pudding mixture you put on. So if you just have 15 crackers, it’s easy to make it work. Your kids will have a great time making them – and eating them!
We used over four packages for a double recipe of the pudding and still had leftover pudding. I think I was scared to fill them too full…
The nutella was faint. You could hardly taste it. But that’s good for me because I’m not a huge peanut butter fan, especially when it messes with my chocolate. I was glad to have the nutella ones. They are tasty.
One thing I did differently: I made 8 with saran wrap ahead of time so the kids would have something to eat immediately. Instead of messing with that, I just popped the ones the kids made on a jelly roll pan and froze them that way…then put them in the ziplock…There might be some crumbs but that’s fine if I don’t have to deal with the plastic wrap!! J
Good idea. I never thought of skipping the plastic wrap. It probably would work just fine as long as you froze them flat and then transferred them to the bag. Thanks for sharing.
