Franklin Planner recently introduced a new planner – the Studio Wire-Bound Weekly Planner with a start date of July 1, 2014.  This planner is a bit different than Franklin’s usual fare.  It’s designed for the person who wants to be organized but also wants room for inspiration and memories.  The Planner sells for $69.95 with a cover that can be customized in several different ways.  In addition, there are multiple add-ons, like pens, washi tape, a pen loop, enamel dots, note pads, etc. that can make it even more fun. Franklin Planner was gracious enough to send me one to try out.  So let’s take a look: There are three cover choices and this was my favorite. FC Studio Planner The front and back covers are sturdy plastic with high-quality spiral binding. FC Studio Planner The inside is colorful and the paper is high quality but pleasant to write on.  The monthly layouts are on heavy card stock with plastic tabs.  The planner comes with a page finder. 1. I would use it as a spiritual journal as well, or perhaps as a reading journal. My calendar is in a ring-bound binder.

  2. I’m not sure just what I’d do with it, but there are several options that come to mind as I’ll soon be starting a new lifestyle with different projects. It looks very interesting and I’d like to try this out.

  3. Great review! Thank you! I like the dates to remember section so that I’d have a place to place upcoming and recurring events. Having the months tabbed with a heavier textured paper has helped me in the past. And it is as if they read my mind with the journal and notes pages attached to the monthly calendar. I may purchase some of the accessories to use with my A5 classic calendar.
If I were to win this planner, I would use it to merge my work and my “everything else” planners.
    Thank you

  4. I am interested in using the planner as a family/home journal. I would like to start on our home renovations…this will help keep me on track.

The planner is very colorful and bright, leaving me excited to try it. Thank you for the opportunity.

  5. Patty, The planner is very interesting. I also use a ring binder and this could still fit in my system for planing. Thanks for the opportunity!

  6. I’m in the midst of a “planner crisis” at the moment, and I love the layout of this planner! Usually I’m more a fan of ring-bound systems, but with my crisis continuing to loom, maybe I need a huge change. Great review – thanks! 🙂

  7. Hi Patty! I’d love to win this for a friend! She moved to another city and is starting a new teaching job at the end of the summer. I think she’d love to have this. She wanted an Erin Condren and I tried to order her one, but with the issues they have with their website and production, I gave up. This would be perfect! Thanks for the opportunity!

  8. Love Franklin Planners and I would love to win one! Thank you for the review! I look forward to your planner blog every week!

  9. I would love to win this planner. I currently do not have a planner but have been researching planners trying to decide which one I would like to use. I currently just use a free calendar from the bank to write when bills are due, when they were paid and other important things that goes on in our family. It’s getting crowded to say the least. Love your blog by the way.

  12. What a fun looking planner! How fun to have an extra to give away! I’m working to get my home schedule more organized. It’s hard to balance homeschooling the kids with all the cleaning, organizing, meal planning and prep that needs to be done. I would use the planner to help me bless my home and family!

  13. I’m not really a planner girl, but I sure like this one! It reminds me of an Erin Condren planner with its beautiful colors!

  29. I was very curious when I saw this announced on the FC site. I am a ring-bound girl, just like you, because I love my endless customization options. But starting this Aug, I will begin homeschooling my 3rd grade daughter and I have been looking for a simple and sturdy way to plan out our weekly lessons that is in a format we can both use. I’ve strongly considered this as an option when it comes times. Its simple, bright, and uncluttered. It saves me time and is something that I think we could use together. When I do my weekly planning on Sunday evenings, she can help and through the week, it will primarily be her responsibility to know what is happening each day with her assignments and how to better manage her time. 🙂 Thank you for a closer look and this gracious opportunity.

  30. I love this planner! I’ve been using my Cozi calendar on my Kindle to keep track of appointments and such, but not everyplace has wifi or knows their password, so entering things right when I make the appointment (I’m a do it now or it’ll be forgotten kind of gal) gets a little difficult. I don’t pay for any data plans or anything. I’ve been looking into a paper planner, but can’t decide what I need or how I want it organized. Maybe this would help? I’d love to win it!

  31. This is exactly the configuration I’ve been looking for due that I work in automotive and the timings are measured in weeks. I recently moved from ring bound to spiral one and I like it so it would be awesome to try this one!
