Need a simple but tasty meal? Here you go:
- 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. chicken tenders
- 1 bottle barbecue sauce (we like KC Masterpiece – Hickory)
Fill a dutch oven about ¾ full with water. Add chicken tenders. Bring to a boil and boil gently for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and shred chicken.
Spray a small crock pot with pam. Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce on bottom of crock pot. Add chicken. Pour remaining bottle of barbecue sauce over chicken and mix thoroughly.
Cook on low heat for a couple of hours. Serve on hamburger buns. 4 to 6 servings.
Serve with greens beans and oven baked French fries. Our favorite brand of fries are Ore Ida Crispers. They taste great and cook quickly.

Sounds good The chicken does not look very shredded. Is it?
Yes, it’s shredded pretty thoroughly. You could do it in bigger chunks if you wanted – whatever suited you.
