Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches, Fries & Green Beans

Need a simple but tasty meal?  Here you go:

  • 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. chicken tenders
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce (we like KC Masterpiece – Hickory)

Fill a dutch oven about ¾ full with water.  Add chicken tenders.  Bring to a boil and boil gently for about 15 minutes.  Remove from heat and shred chicken.

Spray a small crock pot with pam.  Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce on bottom of crock pot.   Add chicken.  Pour remaining bottle of barbecue sauce over chicken and mix thoroughly.

Cook on low heat for a couple of hours.  Serve on hamburger buns.  4 to 6 servings.

Serve with greens beans and oven baked French fries.  Our favorite brand of fries are Ore Ida Crispers.  They taste great and cook quickly.
