This recipe is a favorite at my house as well as many of my friends. Of my friend group I am one of the moms with the fewest number of kids at 3. Most of my friends have 4 or more. I would love to have the mental ability to handle that but lets be honest…. I just dont!
This recipe is a lifesaver when you have 100 things going on at once! Plus it is really GOOD!
Tator Tot Casserole Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or venison
- salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 16 ounces frozen tator tots
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Tator Tot Casserole Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef. Drain excess grease and season to taste with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk.
Spread meat mixure in the bottom of a large greased casserole dish. Top with frozen tator tots. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Bake at 375F for 30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted and slightly browned.
To Freeze Tator Tot Casserole:
Prepare as directed above in a freezer-friendly casserole dish or disposable aluminum pan–except do not bake. Cover with foil, label, and place in freezer.
On the day you want to serve, remove foil and bake in a preheated 375F oven for 45 minutes-1 hour, or until heated through and cheese is melted and slightly browned.
