  1. I can’t wait to hear more about the pizza! I looked it up online and the crust sounds interesting. I’m looking forward to your review and tell us what kind of toppings you used. I tried to go gluten free last year knowing it was healthier for me and I know it’s VERY expensive. The special flours to make baked goods are so overpriced! I remember paying about $3 for a 12oz. package of GF pasta as opposed to regular pasta on sale all the time for under $1 for a pound. It’s so unfair! But if David feels better it’s worth it. I was craving starchy stuff so badly that I over ate rice, potato and GF cakes, etc. I didn’t lose weight so I kinda just stopped since that was why I started it. Good luck to you in this GF endeavor. BTW, I recommend reading the book “Wheat Belly” if you haven’t already. That’s what convinced me how wheat products are slowly killing us all! Maybe I’ll try to get back to it, but it is very time consuming cooking special for one person.

    • Carol:

I made the pizza tonight and David liked it a lot. Ill have the recipe and some photos on the blog this weekend.

I’ve been trying to find recipes and foods that are naturally gluten free because the gluten-free products are so expensive and not necessarily good for you. It really helps the budget doing it that way.

I have used a few of the gluten free products but most of them so far aren’t worth the price.
